Tomato ‘Roma VF’ – Plum Tomato for Sauces and Preserving

Tomato ‘Roma VF’ (Solanum lycopersicum) is a classic plum tomato variety known for its firm flesh and low seed content. It is one of the most popular varieties for tomato sauces, preserving and everyday cooking.

‘Roma VF’ produces a generous harvest of medium-sized, elongated tomatoes. This variety grows best in a warm location and is suitable for greenhouses, pots or sunny and sheltered garden spots.

Sow the seeds indoors in early spring in a protected seed tray at around 20 °C. Prick out the seedlings once and move them later into pots, a greenhouse or outdoors in a warm growing location. Remove side shoots regularly to help support a good harvest.
