Thyme – Classic Herb for Cooking and Tea

Thyme (Thymus vulgaris), also known as common thyme, is a perennial and versatile herb for cooking and traditional herb use. Aromatic thyme adds flavour to rich dishes, tomato and potato salads, cottage cheese and many warm meals. The leaves can also be used for herbal infusions.

Sow the seeds indoors for pre-growing in March–April or outdoors in a seedbed from April to June. Prick out the seedlings once and plant them in their final growing location. Thyme grows best in a sunny place and relatively dry soil.
