Chili ‘Rawit Mix’ – Bird’s Eye Chilies for Sambal and Curry

Chili ‘Rawit Mix’ (Capsicum frutescens) is a hot chili mix containing three Rawit chili varieties popular in Southeast Asian cooking: red, yellow and orange. Each colour has a slightly different aroma — red is strong and direct, yellow has a fresh citrus-like note, and orange is lightly fruity.

The small, narrow and brightly coloured fruits grow to about 2–4 cm and are known for their sharp heat. Rawit chilies are especially well suited for sambal, chili oil, sauces, curries and stir-fries.

This variety grows best in a warm and sheltered location. For the best harvest, grow it in a greenhouse or in a pot on a sunny balcony.
